Here's your opportunity to let your Mom know how much you appreciate all she does! Whether it's driving you to after school activities, to a friend's house, taking care of you when you're sick, or just being there for you whenever you need her...think of all the wonderful things your mother does for you!

The Merchants located at Chickering Plaza (Rte 125 across from Haffner’s Gas Station) in North Andover are pleased to announce an essay contest honoring Merrimack Valley Moms this Mother’s Day.

The rules are pretty simple:

Write an essay explaining what makes your mother special and unique

Essays should be no longer than 500 words

Entry forms can be picked up at Rose & Dove, Nova SalonSpa, MTM Insurance, Choice Fitness, Fun2Paint, Hometown Sports or Sunbanque located in Chickering Plaza starting April 1st, 2010

Completed essays need to be submitted by April 17th, 2010 and can be hand delivered or mailed to:

A panel of independent judges will read the essays.

One lucky mother will receive the following grand prize package valued at $1150:

Eligibility Rules: Entrants must be younger than 18 years old.
Essay must include Child’s Name, Child’s Age, Mother’s e-mail, address and phone number to be considered. Only one entry per child will be allowed. We'd like to thank the North Andover Police Department for allowing us to participate in North Andover's Night Out at the Middle School last Tuesday, August 4th. It was a great opportunity to share with the community the opening of our new store and my children had a blast!

My daughter Hannah, and friend Olivia, started out the event handing out balloons for me but quickly realized all the fun they were missing and ditched me...I was left to fend with 100 balloons!
